Line up when called, find a seat on the lanai, grab our water bottles, and wait for the next instruction
When is a good time to use the bathroom?
At recess, or during quiet work time (when Mrs. Leghorn is finished teaching)
What should we NOT do on the lanai?
-stand on tables
-run around
-use loud voices
-leave trash or food on the ground
-forget to put our pencils, crayons, etc. away
Why do we keep our legs crossed and our hands folded?
So we don't trip someone with our legs and so our fingers don't get stepped on
What should you do with your homework and finished assignments when they are finished?
Turn them into the 'IN' basket above the mailboxes
How do we put our binders away each morning?
FIRST, check your binder for papers that need to be turned in.
THEN, put it neatly (standing up straight) in the correct crate, alternating frontwards and backwards
When is it NOT a good time to use the restroom?
During a lesson, while a teacher is talking, during a test, during a special
When lining up at the door to come inside, what do you need to remember if you are first in line?
Leave room for the door to open; do NOT line up right at the door

How do we get ready for the day?

Go quickly, wash your hands, make sure your paper towel is placed completely in the trashcan, and come straight back to class
When you are eating, what should you remember?
-To eat quickly
-To clean up your trash and crumbs; clean up the space around you
-Use an inside voice to chat with friends
-stay seated until Mrs. Hawkins tell you otherwise
-Be kind when someone wants to sit near your; do not 'save' seats
What should you remember when you are doing your work?
-Always try your best
-Use your best handwriting
-Think for yourself/Do your OWN work
-Work quietly
-Be respectful of the people around you
Where should you keep your jackets and sweatshirts?
On your body, or hanging up with your backpack
How do we get ready for the end of the day?
Get our binder, write 2 good sentences in agenda, have it checked, check mailbox for papers, put them in binder (NOT in front of mailbox), put binder, lunch, and water bottle in backpack
NEW: We will now being doing this right after lunch so backpacks will go back on your hook after it's been packed up
What should you NOT do in the bathroom?
Hang out with your friends, flick water on other people, use loud voices, throw your paper towels on the floor, hang from the doors, look at other people while they are going ... NO PLAYING AROUND!
Whose job is it to keep the lanai clean?
OURS!
What do we do during a Fire Drill?
Line up quickly and quietly at the backdoor, follow the teacher outside, walk quickly and quietly to the gate and out to the grass on the other side of the parking lot, NO TALKING!
(if there is only one teacher with you, the first person should lead the class when the teacher says to do so)
