What is Gestational Hypertension?

Gestational HTN + new onset of one or more of the following. Proteinuria, Cr >1.1mg/dL, Thrombocytopenia, Elevated AST/ALT, Pulmonary edema, Vision Changes, and patient often complains of epigastric pain.

Used to prevent seizures in patients with preeclampsia and slows contractions in premature labor.
