What are the consequences of a violation of the Zero Tolerance Policy?

Violation of the Zero Tolerance policy may result in serious consequences (including suspension pending investigation, termination, contacting authorities, etc.)

If a youth speaks a language other than English or Spanish. Is it appropriate to use pocket talk device to inform a youth that he received a report?

No, when presenting an IR to a youth to collect his signature. You must call interpretalk and write down the Interpreter ID on the IR.

Is that ok to use my personal phone when driving youth to play music?

No, personal phone use is not allowed at the facility nor when supervising youth.

What's the lengths of phone calls for youth on Monday- Friday ? weekends? 

Youth receive two 25 mins call M-F and two 23 mins call on weekends.

How do we report suspicions or allegations of child abuse, PSA incidents, or boundary concerns between staff and clients?

  • Report to your supervisor immediatiely (verbally and follow-up via e-mail).  

  • Contact DCS/Law Enforcement 

  • Know who your PSA Program Compliance Manager is and include them in the conversation.
