I was born on November 6, 1861, in Almonte, Ontario, Canada.

What was your greatest achievement or contribution to humanity?

I contributed to the creation of a new sport called basketball.

I began to be recognized a few years after my death.

Yes, play the cello.

The Mexican revolution was taking place.

We were presbyterian, and my parents died during my childhood.

I invented basketball.

I obtained 9 awards and the Wicksteed gold medal, awarded to the best athlete in my category.

They called me Jim - it was associated with my physical ability.

The Mexican Revolution and "Cristera" War.

What was your childhood like?

It was difficult because my parents died and I had to go live with my uncle.

I created a new sport that could be played any time of the year because it is played indoors.

The Naismith Memorial located in Springfield, Massachusetts.

I was an amateur musician, especially playing the cello.

In September 1917 the YMCA sent me to France as  Foreign Minister during the First World War.

Yes, I got married but my wife died so I took care of my 5 children.

A new sport that can be played in any season of the year because it was played indoors.

I am remembered both in my country and around the world.

Can you tell me any funny anecdotes of your public life?

When I invented basketball, I used a peach basket as a hoop, and at first the ball couldn bounce because it was a soccer ball.

I was a respected person.

I faced bone cancer.

I created the sport mainly alone but my boss gave me some specifications.
