The ability to resolve an issue without consulting a supervisor.
What is problem solving or conflict resolution?
Including babysitting, mowing lawns, sports, etc. on your resume when you don't have actual paid job experience.
What are transferrable skills?
Resist this temptation at all costs on your application
What is lying or being untruthful?
Lack of eye contact, saying "I don't know," and not answering the questions asked during an interview.
What are noticeable behaviors that will not help you get the job?
Late to work, excessive phone use, using drugs/alcohol, lack of productivity, no-shows, inappropriate language, and inability to take direction.
What are common reasons for getting fired?
Being reliable, responsible, and managing your workload efficiently.
What is a strong work ethic?
This type of adult leader, like a coach, teacher, or staff member, can vouch for your good character when you do not have a past boss.
What is a professional reference?
These areas of the job application that you did not complete for can be interpreted as careless or inefficient.
What are blank spaces?
A great way to make yourself stand out once you have applied
What is going to the store in person and expressing my interest in the position?
You missed your buss this morning and will be late to work, what should you do?
Call work and explain that situation and tell them you will be late to work.
