This is a cup made of gold or silver. It holds the wine for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and represents Christ's sacrifice, redemption, and the New Covenant

Chalice

A long band of silk of the same width as the maniple, but 3 times in length. It is worn around the neck and crossed on the breast. It is worn on the shoulders to remind us of the cross Our Lord carried.

Stole

This sacrament removes original sin, makes a person a member of the Church, and is necessary for entrance into Heaven.

This is a square pocket-shaped piece of linen with cardboard inserted in order to stiffen it. It is placed over the chalice to prevent dust or other matter falling into it.

Pall

An oblong shaped fine piece of linen. The priest places it on his head for a moment, and then allows it to rest upon his shoulders. It is the "helmet of salvation."
