How do we enter the library?
In a quiet, calm line.
How do we talk to others in the library?
Volume level 1 Spy talk, or 2 table talk if they can't hear us.
What should you do when you first get to the library?
Return any books you need to, and start looking for new ones.
If you want to look at a book, what should you do?
Take it out and then put it back right where you found it when you're done.
When you are walking past the library, how should you act?
Quiet and calm.
How do we leave the library
When it is time we line up in line order, quiet and calm.
What do the media specialists do?
Help you find or check out books.
If you can't find a book you want what should you do?
Ask Mr. Olsen if they have it.
What should you do if you see a book on the ground?
Put it back where it should go, or give it to Ms. Kessel or Mr. Olsen if you can't find that.
When you leave the library, what should you do with your book?
Listen to Ms. Kessel and either bring it in the room or put it in your backpack.

1 Spy talk or 0 Voice off.
What is the name of one of our media specialists?
Mr. Olson.
If you are looking but can't find a book to read, what should you do?
Ask Ms. Kessel or Mr. Olsen if he is free, we can help you look!
Where can you read in the library?
Any of the chairs or reading spots, places out of the way for people looking for books.
When you take your book home, what should you do with it?
Read it, be gentle with it, keep track of it.
What should our bodies be like in the library?
Walking, bodies to ourselves, careful of other people and materials.
When we are in the library, do we come up to Ms.Kessel and ask to go to the bathroom, or what we are doing later today?
No!
You can ask for help finding a book or a quiet space.
When you find a book what should you do?
Check it out with Mr. Olsen, and find a smart spot to read in.
What should you do if you find a book that is ripped or broken?
Give it to Mr. Olsen or Ms. Kessel.
If you lose or break your book, what should you do?
Talk to Ms. Kessel and Mr. Olsen
When should you bring your book back to school?
When you want to return it, by next library day at the latest.
