How often should you be going outside with your class?
At least once daily: "Children should have ample opportunity to do vigorous activities such as running, climbing, dancing, skipping, and jumping. This could include two or three occasions of active play outdoors each day, weather permitting; two or more structured or adult-led activities or games that promote movement over the course of the day in both indoor and outdoor settings; opportunities during transitions to use movement skills such as hopping like a bunny to the bathroom; and continuous opportunities to develop and practice age-appropriate gross motor and movement skills. "

When leaving classroom, upon arriving to a destination, before leaving for emergency, at emergency meeting place, throughout outdoor play, through each doorway, etc.
Does the ratio change when children are asleep?
NOTHING!!
What should you do if you are notified that a child received medical attention following an incident that happened at the center?
Notify Director, information is needed from parents and a report (filed by Director) must be filed to licensing within 24 hours
What happens when the Sauk Prairie School District closes for road conditions?
SPELC will also be closed when the district closes for road conditions
If a child is sick, what should you do?
Notify office, fill out form, notify parents for pick up. If it is a communicable disease, Lauren or Jocelyn must be notified so we can make parents aware.
