Clinical Staff will email or call the relevant the RPC who's initials are on the event if they have a question about a scheduled visit on the med calendar. They may ask for the RPC to fix or change the appointment. Please make the correction as soon as possible.

How should one communicate a cancellation day-of visit?

Best practice is to communicate this in person to Clinical Staff. If in-person communication is not an option, then call the Clinical Staff immediately (0-0052). The last resort is to email the entire Clinical Staff.

How should one deal with a participant running behind for their nursing visit?

Research Staff should verbally notify Clinical Staff about the ETA. If the participant is going to be more than 15 minutes late to the appointment, then there is a high likelihood they will need to be rescheduled.

What should one do if one needs to bring a participant to the RRU more than 5 minutes before their scheduled appointment?

Under what circumstances is double booking permissible?

If both Yvette and Chi Chi are working, double booking for screens is allowed. If only one is working, under extenuating circumstances Dr. Wolinsky has helped to do a second screen.

What happens if clinical staff are unable to reach out to research staff about a correction or question about the med calendar?

If there is no response from RPC(s), the Clinical Staff will follow up with an email to another RPC on the study, the RPC’s supervisor, or if necessary, the PI of the study.

If the correction is not made within 24 hours, Clinical Staff will contact Senior Research Manager to initiate an in-person conversation with Research Staff to confirm and correct the med calendar issue.
