When a person experiences something through one of their senses (such as seeing or hearing) that is not grounded in reality.
What is a hallucination?
A mental health professional will evaluate options to keep the person safe in the way that best supports their autonomy and utilizes their support system, usually choosing between making a Safety Plan or staying in an Inpatient Hospital.
What is the most effective, least restrictive option to resolve a MH crisis?
When an adult sets an example of using coping skills, healthy boundaries and intentionally builds a good support system.
What is modeling good self-care?
Any activity the promotes a feeling of accomplishment, such as setting goals, making a to-do list, or keeping your space clean.
