A Rapid Response (previously referred to as RN Stat) is a page to request urgent assistance from other healthcare providers.  All staff - providers, nurses, MA's, etc, should respond to find out if their assistance is needed.

This can be found under "Patient Hub" and "Medical Summary".  It provides an overview of the patient's medical history, medications, and allergies.

What is how to page overhead?

At least 2 inches (for adults) or 1/3 the depth of the chest (for infants) with a speed of 100-120/minute.

What is the correct depth and rate to do chest compressions?

These roles may direct the code until a provider arrives.  They may also administer medications  oxygen, do compressions, manage the AED, and check vitals.

What are the RN 1 & 2 roles?


The RN 1 role can be performed by the RN or another provider.  The RN 2 role may be done by MA's, RNs or LVNs.
