Yes, we update the sponsor information, room number and wake up time. Also, what was completed and what is pending for the upcoming shift.

When we ask the youth to toss all their personal clothing, where do we document? 

Youth are allowed to keep their clothing and they decided if they want to toss any personal item away.

No! Only one youth is allowed in the restroom.

Youth can not keep any purses or backpacks. The program will provide a backpack.

What are the bed rules that we need to explain to the youth? 

1- The youth are responsible to keep their room clean.

2- Only one youth per bed, youth are not allowed to sleep in the same bed.

3- Youth need to knock before entering the restroom and only 1 youth at the time. 

4- If the youth is using the restroom and staff need to verify the youth in the restroom, they need to respond I am here/ estoy bien)

5- They need to change clothes in the restroom at all times. No matter what! 

6- Youth are not able to come out of the room once they are escorted to their room. If they need anything, they need to wait by the door. 

7- Explain about the second door and window. They may not open the door or window, if they do attempt an alarm will notify security immediately. 

8- Also, that they are able to use the blankets under the blue cover. (Some youth have use their jackets to keep warm because they are not aware that there is a blanket under the blue cover.)

9- Laundry process and bag.

How do we document the medication if the youth has medication with them.  

We inform medical onsite about the medication or SL. 

(Put the medication in separate zip log with youth information, Name and A# and provide to medical or SL.)
