They were eyewitness statements given by different disciples, so by having differences, it shows that it wasn't a rehearsed story, instead the disciples were truthfully telling what they saw and experienced.

Paul writes Romans in a specific order of stating his Theology, then going over the Application. Why is this format, and understanding both so important?
Theology without application is just intellectualism, or knowing but not showing. Even the demons know Jesus, but don't following him. Application without theology is shallow advice. If you don't fully understand what you're doing or why you are doing it, you won't be able to do it very well, or for the right reasons.
