A technical assessor is a SAMS representative or Training Establishment equivalent and plays a core role in the RCAF Aircraft Weapon System Authorization process. They are responsible to assess the technical competency and airworthiness knowledge of technicians and make a recommendation to a SAMS to grant an authorization.
