In our current market where should we be setting max pays? When and how far out should we be posting loads?
Max pays should be BELOW take/target
We should not be posting loads until the day before the load is shipping
What is a backup load? How many backup volume loads do we accept?
We are the backup carrier - the customer has gone through their primary carrier list without covering the load and has now gone to their backup routing guide. It depends on the market, in a market like today we would accept all backup volume to bring in additional business, in a hot market we will choose backup volume based on pricing that fits our current model.

What is a spot load? How much spot volume to we quote/accept?
Spot load is a load that was sent out to all carriers to quote. This could be because the original carrier failed on it and they need additional help finding solutions last minute or they got additional volume not on the customer routing guide. We quote 100% of spot opportunity and accept any load the customer is sending that we win.
