Red box is the heating box that transport food to Traditions/Evergreen. Temperature should be kept between 140-150 degrees.
Name 3 questions to ask yourself prior to a facebook posting.
- Is the photo fuzzy?-Do not post photos that are out of focus or blurry.
-Does everyone look like they are having a good t-Do not post if anyone is frowning or mid expression.
-Does the resident look their best? Do not post the photo if anyone has visible bandages, scabs or bruises. Is the resident doing something that could be considered juvenile or embarrassing? We want to protect our residents' dignity.
-Is the photo family-friendly? Do not post photos of people in revealing attire.
-Do you have a signed photo consent from everyone in the photo? We need this signed and on file before posting.
-Have you checked your text for spelling and grammar? Do not share posts or articles from other users.
-Do not post religious or political topics.
-All posts should reflect your community (residents, activities, excursions, landscape, etc.) in some way.
What is a D.A.N.? Who is in charge of it? At what point do you involve HR and RDO?
D.A.N's = disciplinary action notices. Department heads are in charge of writing it and issuing it with the Executive Director's input. HR and RDO has to be involved for any Final D.A.N.'s and/or termination request.
What is a missed meal premium? How do you accrual one? How do you waive one? AND...
If I work a 12-hour shift, can I waive my meal break?
1) Meal premium is an extra hour of pay added to an employee's worked day.
2) It accrues for those who did not take a break after their 5th hour.
3) Meal premium waiver form has to be signed by employee and supervisor for those who worked more than 5 hours but less than 6.
4) A second meal period is provided for shifts exceeding 10 hours, unless 12 hours complete the shift, and may be waived only if the first meal period was not waived.

What is a door security checklist? What do you do with it? Who handles it? How long do we keep it for?
Door security checklist is to ensure doors are working and locking property. Doors checks are to be conducted daily during each shift. You must list the time each area was checked and initial. Store completed forms in binder for 30 days. It is recommended that this task be assigned to Lead Care Provider.
NOTE: Doors leading to the outside are required to be locked by PM Shift staff at dusk and checked again by NOC Shift to ensure they remain locked.
