How do you test if an RGB LED is a common cathode or anode?
To test an LED's polarity, use a multimeter in continuity mode. Place one multimeter lead on the longest LED lead and the other on either the R, G, or B lead. If the LED is cathode, the light will illuminate if the negative multimeter lead is on the longest LED lead; for an anode, the opposite is true.
