Park the forklift in the designated forklift parking areas and turn off the scale if the forklift has one, shot off the LPG tank, and make sure the forks are on the floor to avoid tripping hazards

make sure trailer is swept and debris is removed from the trailer if empty
make sure the freight is secured and follows ZDM and safe loading procedures if loaded

Safely move the pallet to a low traffic area to inspect the damage.

take minimum three pictures (The pallet, the damaged areas, and the product)
Make a comment about the product that describes the damage and how the freight was found.
notify a supervisor about the damaged freight to determine if i can be loaded or sent to OSD
