Eye contact, calm tone, calm body, asking how they can heal the harm, showing with their actions they will not harm again.

A meaningful apology, showing that they won't do it again. Changing their actions.

Anger is a normal emotion that we all feel. It is ok to be angry as long as we handle it in a safe way.

What is the difference between conflict and bullying?

Conflict is a disagreement between 2 or more people that are equal in power. Bullying is intentional repeated harm where there is a power imbalance.

If someone is talking badly about you to other people, is that a healthy or unhealthy friendship? What can you do in that situation?

Unhealthy. Talk with that person about it, let them know how it makes you feel. Take some space from that person.

How can relationships be impacted if we do not take responsibility for our actions and apologize?

People will not want to include us or be friends. We will lose trust from others.

It is important because we need to take responsibility for if we have harmed someone else.

How can anger get in the way of taking responsibility for our actions?

If we have not dealt with our anger and we are still feeling in crisis mode we are unable to use our thinking brain to make a good choice. We need to go down the volcano in order to reflect on the situation and take responsibility.

Why should we try and look under the surface of the conflict iceberg when we see a conflict?

Trying to think about what we can't see during a conflict (fears, feelings, expectations, needs, assumptions) can help give us some perspective on how the person in conflict might be feeling. There might be something else going on for that person that we are not aware of.

Understanding personal space, communicating needs (I need space, no means no), and identifying respectful behaviour
