What does PAL stand for?

Stay 30 minutes and get paid for that 30 minutes

After 30 minutes create material to upload and get paid for the full hour (please send us that material and make note of it on timesheet)

What is Lecture Etiquette as a PAL? 

Being attentive and looking engaged. Avoid cell phone use. 

Make contact with the professor often: If they have time, talk to them before or after class, update them on your sessions, etc.

How often should you post announcements on your PAL Canvas page? 

At least 1x a week with info about your sessions (where, what, when, etc.)

What environment is required for online sessions?

Academic/private with camera and microphone on.

What is the first step in disciplinary actions?

How does PAL advance educational equity?

By providing a proper balance of challenge and support that leads to more independent and self-directed learning.

How many session cancellations are permitted per semester?

Up to three with notice. Use Cancellation Form found on Canvas page under Forms.

What is CRLA training used for?

Level certifications and pay increases. Attendance is collected by filling out a form after the event.

What do you do for a session that is larger than 15 students? 

Log 1.5 hours on timesheet, make note

What must be done for professional development (UCAE, Career Center, etc.) event credit?

Submit form (found on PAL Canvas page) prior to attending the event.
