What am I thinking?
Students "think" with their eyes to guess what the leader is thinking (Adult model examples: looking an watch/what time is it, looking at drink/I'm thirsty, etc.)
What is one reason that looking at the speaker during a conversation is important?
It shows the other person that we are paying attention. It shows the other person that we are interested in what they have to say. It helps us understand the speaker's message.

She may also feel embarrassed that she got in trouble for breaking the rules. The man and woman are in a movie theater. The man works there and the woman is a customer. She is on her phone when she is not supposed to be. He is telling her to put her phone away.

Why is it important to understand how someone else feels?
You need to understand how someone feels so you can respond the right way. Example: If someone is mad- they might need you to give them space If someone is frustrated- they might need your help If someone is sad- they might need a hug or want to talk to you
What is the difference between eye contact and "thinking with your eyes?"
Eye contact- you are looking directly at another person's eyes Thinking with your eyes- you are using your eyes to look at another person's facial expression and what another person is looking at to get clues as to what they are thinking about or feeling
A good detective observes people to try and figure out what they are doing, how they feel, and what they are going to do next. What should you look at to figure out how someone feels?
