  • Cumulative non critical defects exceeding 1 inch in length and defect rate that exceeds 1 per case - perform immediate 100 can inspection to rule out one off defect (Do not include the case that original dent was identified). Release on 1 defect, initiate block back to last good check on 2.
  • Individual defects that exceed 1 inch in length or compromise the integrity or runability of the can and/or aluminum bottle (i.e. is deep enough to potentially cause a leaker/causing excessive closer jams) will be considered critical. Critical defects require immediate shutdown and correction action to determine root cause. All affected product must be blocked back to last good check.
