What is the process for granting visitor access for NFCU employees and non-employees?

Navy Federal Employee:

  • Navy Federal visitors must provide a valid government-issued photo ID.
    • Navy Federal ID badges are not an acceptable form of ID.
  • Branch team members must confirm the visitor currently works for Navy Federal by using the  Employee Directory.

Non-Navy Federal Employee:

  • Non-Navy Federal employees (e.g., plumber, electrician, handyman) who visit the branch will be asked to provide a valid government-issued photo ID. Although a government-issued photo ID is preferred, the Team Leader can use their discretion to accept one of the following alternate IDs when a valid government-issued ID is unavailable:
    • A work badge with photo.
    • Vendor identifiers (e.g., company vehicle, company uniform, business card).

What are the procedures for opening and closing the branch?

Opening:

  • 1 team member is the look out and SMSR/Leader goes in to clear the branch (2 team members are required)
  • The Leader/SMSR will drive around the building before going in then will make sure there is no one hiding in and rooms
  • Once the branch is clear they will place the all clear signal
  • If the team member clearing the branch is taking longer than normal the look out will call the branch and ask the security question

Closing:

  • Verify all the drawers are locked and all the member data is out away
  • Make sure no members are left in the branch
  • Set the alarm and verify the door locks behind
