How do duplicate team members happen?

When a business adds their team members to Time first instead of them syncing from qb’s.  

Then, when they integrate, QuickBooks will attempt to match any employees/contractors with team members in QuickBooks Time. If their first and last names do not match exactly, then QuickBooks will import the employee/contractor as a new team member, rather than linking them with an existing one.

What are the steps to use super cow power?

Access the customer's QuickBooks Time account in the Staff Account and view My Team

-Select the team member that imported from     QuickBooks Online 

-Double click on the QuickBooks ID

-Copy the QuickBooks ID and then remove it from the field

-Change the name and email of the team member to something the business will never use

-Archive that team member

-Open the team member that was originally added to the QB Time account and DID not import from Qb's

-change the team member's name and email to their correct information

-Paste the previously copied QB ID in this team members QB ID field

-Save the team member

Can you just archive the duplicated team member?

Sometimes, depends if the team member tracked any time before integrating then super cow is used to fix it.  If no time has been tracked, then they can archive the team member and move forward with the team member that imported from qb’s.

How do you set up custom field item dependencies?

Using the Client Switcher, log into the customer's account.  If the customer has not already done so, ensure they create the new custom field that they want an item connected to.  As support, follow these steps to enable the dependency:

-Select Feature Add on

-Select custom fields

-Select the custom field with the items that need to be connected to the new field

-Select the 3 stacked dots for the item

-Select [SUPPORT] Item dependencies

-Select the custom field that needs to appear when the item is selected

-Select OK

-Select Save.
