What is the SAFE Fund form?
These kit steps require photocopies of paperwork to be placed in the medical records bin.
What are steps 1b and 20?
This person is a parent, guardian, or other adult at least 18 years old who remains present with the child during a sensitive exam.
What is an observer?
These medications should NOT be used during SANE exams because patients need to be able to provide assent.
What are sedation medications?
This is not required before proceeding with a child sexual abuse evaluation when a non-legal guardian brings the child in with concerns.
What is waiting for the parent to arrive?

Before collecting the patient's own DNA using a buccal swab, patients should do this first.

Who is the advocate?
Parents are not consenting to a child's exam and law enforcement plans to arrest them for obstruction of justice. This team should be contacted for guidance on next steps.
Who is Risk Management?
This should be done for adolescent sensitive notes and notes on patients who have a non-protective parent.
What is blocking the note from MyChart access?
Before collecting floss evidence, the SANE should know if the patient requires this type of medication before dental work.
What are antibiotics?
The presence of this person in the room should be documented in the SANE note as it relates to a sensitive exam.
Who is the chaperone and/or observer?
These glove colors may improve colposcopy visualization by preventing the scope from focusing on the gloves and darkening the GU exam.
