What do you do when you get in class?
You hang up your belongings on the hooks, take your seat, review the day's schedule and find a quiet activity to do.
What do you do when you need to use the washroom during recess?
Ask the teacher on duty, then wait for permission from the door monitors to enter the school.
When you come to school late like after 9:00, what do you do?
You need to go to the office to get a late slip.
What do you do to help others be better students?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs!
How do you ask for help in class?
You ask your partner and group. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand quietly and wait.
When the bell rings during recess what do you do?
Return to our class line and line up quickly and quietly in alphabetical order.
What should you do if you have an issue during recess?
Tell the teacher on duty immediately. If the issue is not resolved, tell Mr. Caruana.
What rewards can your group earn?
Candy, free time, Chromebook time.
How do students respect other students properties?
By not touching them or their property. Ask to use anything first before taking something from someone.
When can you use the bathroom/ go to the fountain?
Before school, during recess, and during lunch. If it is an EMERGENCY, you may go during work period time only! Never during a lesson.
Where should 6/7th grade students play during recess?
Grade 6 students play on the field and Grade 7 students play on the pavement near the basketball nets
What is the golden rule that you should never break?
Keep your hands and feet to yourself
How can your group earn points?
By being the first group ready to learn and prepared for the lesson.
What kind of food/drink can students have in class outside of scheduled snack/lunch times?
Water.
When should you write in your agenda?
Throughout the day! DO NOT wait until the last minute to write in your agendas. If you know what your homework is or when your next test is, fill out your agenda
How should you behave during lunch?
Get your lunch, stay seated in your own seat and talk quietly with your friends.
What will happen if you don't complete your homework, or if you leave your homework at home?
You will stay in for recess to complete your work. If this becomes a habit, there will be a phone call home.
How can you respect others?
By actively listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.
How should students line up when leaving/entering the classroom?
In alphabetical order by last name. Beginning with A-Z
What should you do when returning to the class from recess?
Once welcomed into the classroom, quickly have a seat, look at the schedule, and take out the appropriate class materials for the next lesson.
