Sleep paralysis tends to be linked to another mental disorder, so people who have mental disorders like, narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnia, obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia disorder, anxiety, etc.
However, Narcolepsy is believed to only affect those with an issue with orexins
Ways to help Prevent sleep paralysis.
There is no known way to stop an active episode however there are ways to help prevent one, such as having a consistent sleep cycle to help with your REM sleep cycle
