SMART guess. To have all of that happen to one person during one day could certainly cause it to be the worst day ever.

WACKY guess. The sun is shining and there are no clouds in the sky. Even the radio is reporting that it should be a beautiful day. Susie has made a WACKY guess by thinking it will rain when no signs are indicating this.

It is Tuesday morning. Matthew and his brother have left their house and are walking toward the end of the street. Both boys have backpacks and lunch boxes. Susie thinks Matthew and his brother are on their way to school. Is this a SMART guess or WACKY guess?

SMART guess. Susie knows it is a school day and the boys are headed to the bus stop. They have backpacks and lunch boxes which they need for school.

After school on Tuesday, Jan puts on a pink leotard with tights and ballet shoes. Matthew thinks Jan is going to ballet class. Did Matthew make a SMART guess or WACKY guess?

SMART guess. Ballerinas wear leotards, tights and ballet shoes when dancing. Since it is a weekday afternoon, it is a SMART guess to think she is going to a ballet class.

WACKY guess. Michelle is going somewhere where she will be swimming like a waterpark, the beach or a pool.

Expected vs Unexpected

You call your friend over and over and over and leave a message each time they don't answer. Is this an EXPECTED or UNEXPECTED behavior?

UNEXPECTED behavior. One message is enough to let your friend know you called. If there is something extremely important that you need to share, you can tell the person taking the message (or say in the message you leave on voicemail) that it is important for your friend to call you back.

Someone asks you to leave them alone but you keep bothering them anyway. Is this an EXPECTED or UNEXPECTED behavior?

UNEXPECTED behavior. If someone asks you to leave him alone, it is EXPECTED that you would walk away. By continuing to bother him, you are using UNEXPECTED behaviors and causing others to have weird thoughts about your behavior.

You see your friend on Monday morning and start a conversation with him by asking him what he did over the weekend. Is this an EXPECTED or UNEXPECTED behavior?

EXPECTED behavior. When you see your friends, it is an expected behavior to talk about what happened over the weekend or the previous night especially if you know someone did something really exciting.

A fellow student is talking about the new puppy he got and you say "Wow, that's cool!! What kind of dog did you get?". Is this an EXPECTED or UNEXPECTED behavior?

EXPECTED behavior. By asking what kind of dog he got, you are showing that you are listening with both your brain and heart. You are not only thinking but also caring about what he is saying by asking a question that shows you were listening. Your friend will be really happy to answer the question.
