Hunters: A judge scores the horse and rider based on their performance. They want the horse to look smooth, get the correct striding, and stay level.
Jumpers: Course is timed. Horses have to go faster than the minimum speed and clear the jumps to move on to the next round.
Handy Rounds: part of a Derby. Usually scored better on tighter turns that still look controlled
Optimum Time: They cant go too fast or too slow through the course
