You should keep it to yourself and use it the way it is meant to be used, making sure you aren't distracting other people with it.
If someone is playing with a toy you'd like to play with, what should you do?
Ask if you can share, and if they say no, be respectful and wait your turn.
You took space and came back but you're still feeling angry and upset. What should you do?
Let a staff know, and if you need to take space again, you can.
When we are done eating, what do we do with our snack?
Clean it up by throwing the garbage away and putting any utensils/plates/bowls on the ledge.
If you are playing basketball and another person wants to join, but there are three people and only 2 basketballs, what should you do?
Take turns using the basketballs.
You really don't like group and you're feeling bored and want to leave. What should you do?
Staff have chosen two main activities for free time. You don't like either of them. What should you do?
Let staff know you don't feel like doing either of the choices. Staff can give you options for other activities that are appropriate for free time.
You are feeling upset and angry, but somebody else is using the sensory room. What do you do?
Ask a staff if you can go into the office or use the tent until the sensory room is free.
If we have finished our snack and we're still hungry, what can we do?
We can let staff know we are having a hard time going inside, and ask if we can have one more minute to get ready to go in. Sometimes it is hard to go back inside, but TAP rules are there for a reason.
You look at whoever is talking, you try and keep your body in your own spot, and you don't interrupt or talk over them.
You can give them space, and let a staff know that they might need some help.
