Call in Policy
What is:All crews will transmit their location to the appropriate basecamp once a day from their campsite location. Instructors will find an appropriate time upon reaching their campsite and prior to going to sleep to transmit their location.
If the basecamp does not receive a location text from a crew after 48hrs (2 evenings) basecamp should respond via a return text/ call/ and/or hasty team to confirm crew’s well-being.
It's 11pm at night and we decided to crash camp instead of camping at our designated campsite on our route.

Define Swimming vs Wading
Swimming -Immersion typically greater than waist deep.
Wading - current should be minimal and no deeper than thigh-height to prevent "wading to failure"
Student experience nausea and vomiting, with moderate to severe stomach pain for over 24hours.
Yellow, student needs an evac and be seen by a medical professional. Non-life threatening.
Could be considered Red depending on the severity and other signs/symptoms.

Important to not give false hope to create motivation. If giving future information to motivate, be sure you know you have control in delivering that claim. This can build or lose rapport.
Stove inspection, storage, and cleaning practices
No dirt or foreign substances inside, store with screw caps on, no brass-o inside. Clean with bras-o at course end.
