Interfering with University activities, operations, instruction, student accountability proceedings, or legitimate activities of a person. This behavior can include loud, unnecessary, unusual, disruptive, or continuous noise that disturbs the peace.

What is the UAB?
This status indicates the lowest level violation of the Code has occurred but will not be reported as part of the student's behavioral record.

What is direct information?
An act, statement, or expression intended to cause damage, fear, injury, pain, or other intimidating action during an incident or altercation.
What is Threat?
The number of faculty and student members that must be present to hear an academic integrity case.

Who is Jonathan Guthrie?
Indicates a severe violation or multiple incidents have resulted in Code violations. The behavioral status indicates a student has committed a suspendable offense, the Conduct Educator or UAB does not feel they should be separated from the university.
What is Deferred Suspension?
Information that is reported through another party (second-hand information).
What is hearsay information?
Misleading an instructor as to the condition under which the work was prepared, including, but not limited to, undisclosed Artificial Intelligence (AI) use, substituting for another student, or permitting another person to substitute for oneself on any academic work.
What is Misrepresentation?
This should happen during deliberations after it has been determined that the student is responsible for at least one of the alleged prohibited behaviors.
