Marbury Vs. Madison (1803)
This war had the Colonists and England team up against the French and Native Americans, and would be an extremley expensive war leading to England increasing their taxation on the colonies.
French and Indian War (1754-63)
This group of the first 10 amendments were added to the constitution to appease the Anti-federalists, who were scared that the Constituion would give the Federal government too much power

This supreme court case established the Supremacy clause, or that the Federal government overrides state laws
McCullough vs. Maryland (1819)
This war granted the 13 colonies Independence from England, and was largely fought due to what the colonists believed to be unfair taxation
Revolutionary War/ War for Independence (1776-1783)
This Amendment protects 4 freedoms,
- Freedom of Speech, Freedom of press, freedom of assembly, freedom of religion
This group of people fought for the right to vote for Women, some famous members are Susan B. Anthony and Cady Elizabeth Stanton.
This 16th President of the United States is one of the most respected presidents in US History, leading the country through the Civil War. Also responsible for The Gettysburg Address and the Emancipation Proclamation.
Abraham Lincoln
Dred Scott Vs. Sandford
This war began after the election of Abraham Lincoln, where Southern states seceded from the Union in an attempt to preserve their economic system of slavery. The end of this war would ultimately solve the slavery question in the United States, and begin the period of Reconstruction.
The Civil War (1861-65)
This Amendment established that any American born on US soil is a citizen (Birthright citizenship)
14th Amendment
These groups of people would work together to create a list of demands for their employees to meet. Some famous examples of these groups are the Knights of Labor, and American Federation of Labor
Labor Unions
The 26th President of the United States was most well known for his foreign policy, "speak softly while carrying a big stick." Also known for his strong stance on protecting the environment and busting up trusts.
Teddy Roosevelt
This Supreme Court case ruled that "seperate but equal" facilities were Constitutional during the Jim Crow south, validating segregated white and black spaces for Americans
Plessy V. Furgeson (1896)
This war involved America getting involved in a sprawling global conflict, which by the end of it would leave only two superpowers standing, the United States and the Soviet Union. The end of this war also began the Atomic Age.
World War 2 (US involved from 1940-45)
This Amendment gives Congress the power to tax any individual or business based on their income
16th Amendment
This social movement fought for equality for African Americans during the 1950's and 60's. Some famous members include MLK Jr., Rosa Parks, and Malcom X
Civil Rights Movement
The 32nd President who lead America through some of its biggest challenges, including the Great Depression and World War 2. This president also is the only president to have served more than 2 terms in office, and after his passing the 22nd amendment making the former precedent official law.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
This supreme court case overturned the ruling of Plessy v. Furgeson (1896), which began the gradual end of segregation in the United States thanks to the Civil Rights movement.
Brown V. Board of Education (1854)
What began as a proxy dispute between the North and South of this country became one of the bloodiest wars in Americas history. This was an extremely unpopular war on the home front, featuring widespread protests especially after President Johnson initiated a draft.
Vietnam War (US involved 1955-1973)
This Amendment repealed the 18th Amendment, which lifted the ban on alcohol in the United States, ending the period of Prohibition in the United States
21st Amendment
