critique: To give well rounded commentary based on your own understanding of the topic. demonstrates critical thinking and the ability to engage with the author's ideas. It involves careful reading, summarizing the work, analyzing its content, and providing a conclusion that reinforces the final opinion.

a genre is a type of category used to classify works based on shared characteristics, style, or subject matter.
synthesize
involves not just gathering data but also evaluating its credibility, identifying patterns, and creating new meaning. It is the process of combining ideas and findings from multiple sources to create a unified argument or understanding that goes beyond what each individual source says on its own.
academic integrity:
To conduct oneself in an responsible way academically, giving credit where it is due. Involves honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility in all academic activities, including giving credit to others for their work and acknowledging one's own contributions.
