Midodrine HCl 10 mg tablet- take one tablet by mouth three times daily. This medication RAISES blood pressure.

How often is bacitracin-polymyxin ointment applied to wounds such as cuts, abrasions, and scratches?

Thoroughly cleanse and dry wound prior to applying a thin layer of ointment twice daily as needed to minor cuts, abrasions, scratches until wound is healed and no longer scabbing. Cover wound with a new bandage (as tolerated). If no improvement, or if wound worsens (watch for signs of infection), after 7 days contact physician.

Pantoprazole is scheduled for 5 am and 5 pm. It should be taken by mouth 30-60 minutes before a meal to reduce the amount of stomach acid produced.

Which PRN would you administer for seborrheic dermatitis (dry, flaky white patches of skin on the face and scalp)?

Ketoconzaole 1% cream is used to treat seborrheic dermatitis.

Albuterol HFA Inhaler. Using spacer, inhale 2 puffs by mouth every 4 hours as needed for cough, wheezing, shortness of breath. Rinse mouth with water and spit after use.

5-6 small meals per day. VP needs to avoid overfilling his stomach due to GERD and his hernias.

Tizanidine HCl 2 mg tablet can be administered by mouth up to three times daily, six hours between doses.

Keep feet clean and dry, apply Gold Bond powder twice daily, allow VP barefoot time to air out his toes.

What is VP's peri-care routine, and how is it documented?

PM Peri Care routine in Health Related Data Tracking. Use foaming peri cleaner to clean the entire peri area, wiping down the catheter tube away from his body. Dry with a soft towel. Also wash the peri area during showers.

When can you offer VP his benzonatate PRN medication?

Benzonatate is a cough suppressant that can be given at night time to reduce a cough that interferes with his sleep.

Which foods tend to irritate GERD symptoms?

Foods that are spicy, fatty, fried, or acidic tend to cause GERD symptoms, and should be avoided or eaten in moderation for VP.
