Name 3 differences between tornadoes and hurricanes. *Bonus if you can name 4)
Tornadoes usually start over land, they begin in the clouds and may or may not touch down to the ground. Hurricanes begin over warm ocean and are "fed" by warm water. Tornadoes are usually quick and don't last long, but can come and go several times, or have several different tornadoes at once. Hurricanes can last for several days without stopping, there is usually only one large hurricane and once it is over it doesn't usually start up again. Tornadoes have strong winds in a very small concentrated area, hurricanes have strong winds over a very large area, blowing through everything. You can see a tornado from the outside of it, hurricanes you see as strong wind, while you are in the middle of it.
