their core classes- usually the class with the most confusion or lowest grade
What form should be completed in the before phase, to participate in tutorials?
The TRF, or "tutorial request form"
During the tutorial, group members ask these types of questions to help guide the presenter.
What are "higher level" or "Costa's level 2 and 3" questions
What type of reflection will AVID students do?
A "Glow & Grow" where they identify one positive (a Glow) thing that happened during their tutorial; and an area that could improve (Grow).
What should a student do if they have no questions or confusions in any class?
- Ask your teacher for a higher-level question. - OR create a harder version of a question by creating a level 2 or 3 question from classwork.
This role keeps the group on track and scores each group member on the questions they ask as well as the notes they take.
